
Established in September 1998, Marian Academy is a Roman Catholic school located in Carifesta Avanue, Georgetown - the capital city of Guyana. The school is administered by a Board of Governors which is composed of members of the Ursuline and Jesuit Orders and their nominees, as well as other educators, parents and representatives of the PTA.
The School provides three levels of education, the Nursery or Kindergarten Level, the Primary or Grade 1 to Grade 6, and the Secondary, Grade 7 to Grade 11. It has a library, science laboratories and a school cafeteria.
The school aims to develop concern and respect for the welfare of others, with specific attention to interpersonal relationshiphs based on sensitivity, tolerance, cultural and racial respect, harmony and goodwill.
