
Academia Británica Cuscatleca (ABC) is a selective, mixed bi-lingual and bi-cultural school with classes from Pre-K to Grade 12. The school is situated in Santa Tecla, El Salvador with some 1,300+ students in the Primary and Secondary Schools. The student body is mainly Salvadorian with a significantly increasing number of expatriate children attending the school.
ABC folows the English National Curriculum with the students taking the IGCSE examinations at the end of 10th Grade, and completing with the International Baccalaureate in 11th and 12th Grade. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools, and the Ministry of Education of El Salvador, besides being an IB World Schoo. It als has an extensive extra-curricular and service programmes. One third of the teaching staff is British with the remainder largely Salvadorian. The language of instruction throughout the school is predominantly English with Spanish being used for a small number of classes.
The purpose built buildings are situated on a beautiful 13 acre garden site and consist of extensive classrooms and laboratories, libraries, a theatre, a Performing Arts Centre, a large multi-purpose auditorium, swimming pools and physical education facilities.
