The Alliance Academy International is a private, co-educational school located in Quito, Ecuador. It was founded in 1929 to provide an extensive U.S. curriculum for the children of evangelical missionaries. Today the AAI continues to offer a quality Christian, U.S. style of education to students who come from a large variety of professional and cultural backgrounds. Alliance Academy International holds full accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International. This accreditation was first received in 1966. The Academy is also a member of the Association of American Schools in South America, and the Southern Association of Independent Schools. The faculty of Alliance Academy International, primarily from the United States, is comprised of experienced, certified teachers and administrators. The faculty includes 68 certified personnel, the majority of whom hold advanced degrees beyond the Bachelor of Arts and Science degrees. The average tenure of a teacher at the Alliance is six years. There are 440 students in grades K–12. The majority of our students have received their education in American overseas schools and international schools. Our student body is 56 percent Anglo, 32 percent Hispanic, 10 percent Asian, and two percent other. The average tenure of a student in our school is more than five years.
