Lincoln School is a non-profit, private educational institution located on a 7-hectare campus in Barrio del Socorro, Santo Domingo, Heredia, Costa Rica. The school was founded in 1945 by a group of Costa Rican and American expatriate parents to provide an America-style, multicultural and bilingual education for their children. Since then, the Lincoln School has been a beacon of educational excellence in Costa Rica. As a co-educational day school, Lincoln offers educational programs from the Early Learning Center through Grade 12 with three diploma programs: The International Baccalaureate Diploma, authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Switzerland; USA High School Diploma, accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS); and the Costa Rican Bachillerato Diploma, accredited by the Costa Rican Ministry of Education. Classes in Lincoln starts in August and ends in June the following year.
