Colegio Anglo-Colombiano (Anglo Colombian School) is a private coeducational non-denominational school founded in 1956 by a distinguised group of Colombians and British citizens. It is one of Colombia's best and most exclusive private schools in Colombia offering pre-school, primary, middle and upper school curriculum. The school has been an IB World School since February 1980 and authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme, IB Middle Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme to its students. It employs a total of 155 teachers of which 50 are British nationals or from other nationalities while the rest are from Colombia. The academic year starts in mid-August and ends during the last week of June. Colegio Anglo-Colombiano represents a unique and genuine step to cultivate an educational institution which will encompass all that is best in the school practices, mores and cultures of both the United Kingdom and Colombia.
The school campus hosts a total of 17 buildings located on a stunning 29.5 acre site in the northern part of BOgota. It also has 8 science labs, art, design and technology rooms, 3 computer rooms, gym, 2 cafeterias, 3 libraries, 2 multi-purpose rooms, a 550-seat theatre, 3 video rooms, footbal fields, sports fields and a large landscaped area.
