The Pan American School of Porto Alegre (PAS) is a private, co-educational, non-profit, English language school committed to excellence in education and the personal growth of each student. The school offer a broad and challenging curriculum for students from pre-kindergarten through high school in both English and Portuguese. PAS is accredited in the United States by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and in Brazil by the Secretaria de Educação e Cultura (SEC). It is also a member of the Association of American Schools in South America (AASSA) and the Association of American Schools in Brazil (AASB). The school is governed by a 12 member Board of Trustees elected by the parent community. The school's mission centers around creating a bilingual learning environment aimed at developing lifelong learners who possess an international perspective and respect the attitudes and beliefs of others.
