QSI International School of Tbilisi ,a private non-profit institution, offers high quality education in the English language for elementary students from two years of age through secondary 4. The School is located in a newly renovated building rented from a Tbilisi kindergarten. The facilities are adequate for the current enrollment, and there is sufficient playground space for the students. A library, cafeteria and a computer area are available for student and staff use. The school's educational philosophy, which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to teaching for mastery. The school believes in success for all students seeking to create a positive learning environment where a child learns more from enjoyable learning experience. The primary purpose of the school is to meet the needs of the children in Tbilisi who require this type of education with a view to continuing their education in their home countries with a minimum of adjustment problems. This program is also offered to Georgian citizens who seek this education with a view to higher studies outside of Georgia. In addition to its scholastic goals, the school endeavors to provide its students with knowledge of Georgia. The curriculum includes English (reading, grammar, composition, and spelling), mathematics, cultural studies (history, geography, economics, etc.), science, computer literacy, art, music, and physical education as part of the regular program. Intensive English classes are provided for those with a limited knowledge of the English language. Russian, French and Georgian are taught as foreign languages. The School also offers a band program and drama. Textbooks are loaned to students without charge.
