The Lucaya International School provides education to English-speaking students in the 3-18 age range. LIS follow an international curriculum starting with the International Baccalaureate Organisation’s Primary Year Programme in the Primary School and continuing on to BGCSE (Bahamian General Certificate of Secondary Education) qualifications in the middle years before offering the IB Diploma to our 16 to 18 year olds. The school draws both local and expatriate students from within the beautiful Bahamian Island of Grand Bahama and this rich and exciting cultural mix of young people from many different countries gives it a special international ambience.Founded by parents in 1997, LIS is located in Freeport, Grand Bahama Island with more than 200 students and 26 full-time and part-time teachers and is a member of the Council of International Schools
