| Homecoming, held on Sunday, November 16th, brought back a huge and enthusiastic alumni crowd back to school. Over 800 people reunited on campus revisiting with friends and former faculty who were in attendance on this sunny and warm fall day. The Plateau hosted a rather competitive soccer tournament for the last 20 years' classes, an event which is slowly becoming a tradition of this day. | The 2007-08 Annual Giving Campaign was finalized with a record number of participants. 2.025 donors made a gift to RC in the past year. | The opening ceremony of the 146th school year was held in the Rodney Wagner Memorial Maze. Speeches were given by Headmaster John Chandler, Turkish Director Güler Kamer Erdur, English Teacher Maura Kelly, and Student Council President Lale Tekişalp (L-12). | Would you like to learn where the class of 2008 is now? Once again, RC has several top scorers in the different areas of the OSS (The National University Entrance Exam) among the RC 08 graduates. Salih Keçoğlu placed 3rd, and Ece Çalı placed 5th on the OSS Say-2 (Science). Ece Baysal placed 3rd, and Ezgi Bereketli placed 9th on the Foreign Language Test in general. | The first members of the Berker Fellowship have been announced in the flag ceremony held on Monday, 26th ofMay, 2008. The seven students who received their pins and plaques are as follows: Alp Özçelik (L-11), Can Akçevin (L-11), Lale Tekişalp (L-11), Mehveş Konuk (L-11), Ceyda Erten (L-11), Ersagün Elaçmaz (L-10), Ceren Ateş (L-10). | Many alumni and RC events take place around the world throughout the year. Alumni Reception at the Yale Club and the Young Alumni Dinner took place in New York. In addition, Teacher's Day has been celebrated at Bizimtepe with an open buffet lunch hosted by the Parent Association.
