Pregny-Rigot is a pre-primary to Class 6 school educating children between 3-11 years. Rigot, where the Early Childhood children are enrolled, is an old farmhouse set in pleasant gardens near to the United Nations building and other international organizations.
A developmentally appropriate programme is delivered in English with class assistants speaking French, in order to facilitate the acquisition of another language. There is an Early Childhood library (with a collection of 2,000 books), and a large room that is used for assemblies and group activities.
Pregny caters for children aged 5-11 years and is situated one km from the Rigot building. The school has eight classrooms, a gym, music room, an art room, and a multi-purpose area. There is also a Learning Centre, staffed by a teacher and an assistant, which provides specific support for those children who need more individual attention to reach their potential. In the summer of 2003 an extension was built to house a multi-media centre, library, and French classrooms.
Extra-curricular activities are offered and the school takes an active part in sporting activities with other schools.
Pregny- Rigot is an authorized Primary Years programme school and students are expected to take an active part in their learning and in the life of the school. Parents are encouraged to participate in their children's education and to work together with the school to give their child an excellent learning experience.
