Director´s Update (October 30, 2008)
Dear Parents,
I appreciate those who attended our Open House & Inauguration
Ceremony last week. If you were unable to be there you will have the
opportunity to visit with teachers next week during our Parent-Teacher
Conferences. As in years past, Monday will be an early dismissal at
1:30pm for students. Teachers will be available to meet with parents
until 3:30pm. In addition, Tuesday students will be dismissed at normal time and
teachers will be available to meet again from 3:30-4:30pm. Pres-school
and Elementary School teachers will be in their classrooms and
Secondary School teachers will be in designated classrooms in the main
classroom building.
Halloween is tomorrow. As the day appears in the school calendar,
students will be dismissed at 1:30pm and activities for Pre-school,
Elementary, and Middle School students will begin at 7:30pm. Middle
Schools students will have a Halloween Dance or will watch a scary movie in the cafeteria and the
younger students will have organized games and activities in the dome
area. Teachers will be present to help, but we ask all parents who
bring their Pre-school and Elementary School aged children to remain
with them throughout the evening. All activities will finish at 9:30pm. Please contact the main office with any questions.
Last week, lockers arrived for our secondary students. Unfortunately,
we were unable to assign them to students due to the rain. Currently,
we are waiting for an aluminum roof to be placed overhead so the
contents in the lockers are not damaged. We hope within the next few
days we will be able to resolve the issue and give students their locks
and lockers. I appreciate your patience.
Sincerely,
Nathan Walker
