Welcome to the International School of Belgrade (ISB) which was founded in downtown Belgrade in 1948. Now located in Senjak, a residential area of Belgrade, the School is an independent, non-profit, co- educational, day school with three campuses. The Lower School campus, which now houses Early Years (age 3) through grade 5, was opened in 1957. To cater for a rapidly growing student population, since 2003, we have opened a Middle School campus (grades 6-8) and a High School campus (grades 9-12), both within walking distance of the Lower School. Governed by a seven-member School Board, the school implements a modified American curriculum combined with international educational practices. ISB became a IB World School, offering all three IB programs, in 2007. The pre-school and Kindergarten through grade 12 programs are designed to meet the needs of children–from the diplomatic, international, and business communities–who can benefit from such programsISB has been fully accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and by the European Council of International Schools since 1981. Re-accreditation was granted in 2003. The International School of Belgrade is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.
