Welcome to the British International School, Belgrade

Junior school Halloween Party
On Friday 31st October the school hall was transformed by the Junior School students and staff for their annual Halloween party. Wonderful decorations adorned the walls, windows were blacked out and pumpkins illuminated the hall. Music and lighting only added to the spectacle.
After lunch students and teachers changed in to an array of original and scary fancy dress costumes, moved to the hall and the place came alive to the sounds of excited children.
Traditional activities such as apple bobbing and a fancy dress parade were the order of the day with prizes being given to the winners.

Presentation on Norway

On 15th October Ms Siri Andersen, First Secretary at the Embassy of Norway in Belgrade visited the school as part of our ‘Meet The World’ program. Despite technical difficulties she delivered an excellent talk that inspired our students to ask a series of interesting questions that were a credit to the school. view in gallery >

School Begins

The first school day (1st September 2008) at our new premises in Dedinje was followed by the traditional Welcome Barbecue. This event provided an opportunity for all our students, parents, staff and friends of BIS to meet each other and enjoy the food and drinks along with the African music by the “Sosabi” band. Our parents and students were happy welcome our new Deputy Principal, Mr. King, as well as 6 new teachers who joined us this year: Mr. and Mrs. Davies, Mr. Cuce, Mr. Morris, and
Mr. Johnson.
We are looking forward to a number of exciting events that have been planned for the 2008-2009 school year; their aim is to raise the spirit of our students, and enhance a sense of community amongst all of us that make part of BIS. view in gallery >

Achievement of BIS Students

We are happy to announce that our student Dusan V. took the 2nd place at Belgrade’s Open Junior Tennis Tournament held in September 2008.

BIS has moved to its new premises

We are pleased to inform you that BIS has moved to its new premises in Dedinje. Our new modern campus is large enough to accommodate both Primary and Secondary schools in the same building. There are three different entrances allowing separation of Primary and Secondary students, a big gym/multi-purpose hall, three computer rooms and plenty of outdoor play area for students of all ages. Welcome!
