
The Anglo-American School of St. Petersburg is a branch of the Anglo-American School of Moscow. It is an independent, non-profit, co-educational day school that serves students from kindergarten through grade twelve. The student body is composed on 27 nationalities representing a multitude of cultural backgrounds. The school is located near the center of St. Petersburg just north of the Neva River and near the Aurora Cruiser Museum at Penkovaya #5.
AASSP is governed by the nine member School Board of the Anglo- American School of Moscow. A local Advisory Committee comprised of the British, Canada, and United States Consul Generals and 2 members of the parent community and a faculty representative assists the Principal in St. Petersburg. The High School faculty consists of both full time and part-time professionals representing six nationalities with local and international teaching experience.
The school year consists of a minimum 180 school days which starts in August from 9:00 am to 15:30 while After-School Activities are from 15:35 to 16:25. English is the language of instruction with a curriculum that ensures a solid grounding in the basic skills of English Language, Science, Mathematics and Social Studies.
