Marymount International School of Rome (also referred to simply as "Marymount" or "MMI") is a private, co-educational, Catholic school catering to students from Early Childhood to Grade 12 (aged 3-19) located in Rome, Italy. It operates on the American school system but also offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma program for its Grade 11 and Grade 12 students, as well as the Italian Esami di Stato (state exams) for the Terza Media (8th grade). Marymount’s campus spans over 16 acres and is surrounded by the Parco di Veio national reserve; it was the first School Yard Habitat in Europe certified by the National Wildlife Federation (NWF). The school comprises four buildings, renamed in October 2002: The Villa (Administration and 1st grade), Gailhac Hall (Elementary School building), Butler Hall (Secondary School building), St. Jean Hall (known as “Residence” building, houses the Early Childhood, Chapel and Dining Room). Marymount has three libraries (Secondary School, Elementary School, Early Childhood) renovated in 1998, and two computer laboratories. There are two multi-purpose athletics courts, a calcetto field, an indoor gymnastics room and students make use of the nearby Olympic track for track and field.
