So much learning! There is so much learning taking place in the American Section that is hard to spotlight just one classroom at a time, but sometimes such a focus cannot be helped! Last Wednesday, I had the great pleasure of observing Mrs. Green’s Seconde class engage in an exceptionally articulate, well-documented and impassioned debate about capital punishment as part of a curricular initiative Mrs. Green calls “student platforms”. Bravo to them all for such fine work and thank you very much to Mrs. Green for empowering our students in this way. Please see ASALInk for more detail.

Within the unique context of the Lycée International, where 12 national sections are represented, the American Section provides an American educational and cultural experience of exceptional quality.
The American Section prepares students to become lifelong learners and global citizens by:
- Fostering intellectual curiosity and self-confidence that help students realize their full potential; - Developing students’ leadership abilities and sense of responsibility towards others.
The American Section pursues this mission through a rigorous and rewarding American curriculum which culminates in the French Baccalaureate with International Option, as well as through a broad and enriching co-curricular program including such activities as drama, community service, sports and student publications.
