
The Prague British School is the new name for the British International School, Prague (BISP). PBS offers an unrivalled education based on the English National Curriculum, to students in Prague regardless of country of origin or cultural brackground. The School is registered with the Department for Education and Skills and is a member of the Council of International Schools (ECIS), a member of the Council of British Independent Schools in the European Communities (COBISEC). The school is a recognised Cambridge University exam centre. It is also an IB World School since March 1998 authorized to offer the IB Diploma Programme.
PBS has schools in both Prague 4 (Modrany and Kamyk) and Prague 6 (Bubenec). The Modrany site is a purpose built Nursery School that houses the Acorns Day Care Center, Foundation stages 1 and 2 and Year 1 level. Kamyk is the location of the main campus which houses both the Primary and Senior schools as well as the administration offices. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and a computer. It is also equipped with 2 computer labs, 3 science labs, preparation rooms, music and art rooms and a fully equipped school canteen. The Bubenec school is situated in the grounds of the Russian School and has large open classrooms with unlimited access to the extensive grounds. The Bubenec site houses the Foundation to Key Stage 2 levels (3 to 10 years old).
