The British International School of Brussels (BISB) was established in 2000 and enables children to benefit from an enriching and challenging educational programme based on the British National Curriculum. The school emphasizes mutual respect, integrity, kindness, loyalty, self-discipline, independence, consideration and self-confidence among its high-quality curriculum for English-speaking students ranging from Nursery to the end of Key State 2 (ages 3 to 11 years old.) Besides the normal curriculum, BISB students are given regular French lessons from Reception upwards.
The school's magnificent two-storey villa provides a very pleasant learning environment for the children and a relaxed working environment for the staff. It includes attractive classrooms, library, music room and extensive outside playground, as well as a fully networked computer suite with Internet connections. All of the full-time staff have British-recognized teaching qualifications with an overall child to teacher ratio of 10:1.
