
Kardinia International College is an independent school located in Victoria, Australia. It is a single campus college built on the site where Morong Girls' College existed for nearly 70 years. It is an IB World College offering high quality education to boys and girls from Australia and all parts of the world, with a semi-rural outlook and a host of excellent facilities. The College provides a caring environment for both day and homestay students from Kindergarten to Year 12, preparing them to be leaders and productive participants in the world of the 21st Century. The College began on February 3rd, 1996 with 31 secondary students and 42 Kindergarten children. It celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2006 with 1612 students.
The word Kardinia is a Tasmanian Aboriginal word which means "sunrise" or "new beginning." Yoshimaro Katsumata, the founder of Kardinia International College took advantage of the new beginning to create an exciting College which utilizes new practices and school structures to cater for the individual student. The motto of Kardinia International College of "Wisdom leads to respect and friendship" is the energizing source of all college activity.
