The National Experimental High School was established for children whose father or mother works in government agencies, in academic and research institutions in the Greater Science Park Area, or in private enterprises in the Science Park. It also serves those who have just returned from overseas and either of their parents will work in the fields mentioned above. The bilingual department mainly teaches in English and admits children, from grade 1 through grade 12, of returning overseas Chinese scholars and professionals. It serves as a bridge between the education systems at home and abroad. The school admits children whose parents work in private enterprises, government agencies and academic and research institutions as well as in National Tsing Hua University and National Chiao Tung University in the Greater Science Park Area. With the rapid expansion of the Science Park, the school now boasts more than 100 classes.
