EtonHouse International Primary and Pre-School is a multi-cultural school serving both the expatriate and local communities. The main school and primary school is at 51 Broadrick Road with a separate pre-school campus in the East Coast area and two other pre-schools in two different locations. Pre-Schools in Singapore cater for the first year of formal schooling, equivalent to Year 1 in the UK and Australia. Children can be aged from 2-11. The school uses the English National Curriculum Key Stages 1 and 2 and has an excellent literacy programme - First Steps, which is from Western Australia. Oral Language and confidence in speaking are especially fostered. Instruction is in English, with Mandarin, Malay, Hindi and Japanese offered as second languages. Entry is non-selective. All teachers at EtonHouse International School are fully qualified for the age group they teach and are from Australia, UK, New Zealand, Singapore and India. There is an excellent staff:pupil ratio according to the ages of the children. The main school and primary school at EtonHouse International School has room for expansion. There are excellent playground facilities and equipment with a soccer field. A nearby swimming pool is used for swimming instruction. Extra-curricular activities are provided as After-School Clubs in computer, music, Mandarin dance and culture, art and craft. There is a Special Needs class at Newton Road and support is given at other branches.
