
Mont'Kiara International School was established in 1994 to offer a North American education to the expatriate community in Malaysia. It has four distinct and yet closely integrated educational divisions: Early Childhood Education (three years old through Kindergarten); the Elementary School (Grade 1 to Grade 5); the Middle School (Grade 6 to 8); and the High School (Grade 9 to Grade 12). M'KIS offers a fully accredited IB Diploma program in addition to classes that lead to a U.S. High School Diploma. The school is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (USA) and the International Baccalaureat Organization (IB World School).
The elementary wing has 28 classrooms, four English Language Learners (ELL) rooms, enrichment center, computer labs, art room, cooking facilities, band room, choir room, gymnasium, 3 world language rooms, 2 IT labs, Library Media Center and elementary administration office.
The middle school wing houses 34 classrooms plus one computer lab and science lab. The high school wing contains 15 classrooms, computer labs, art room, ceramics room, and laboratories for earth science, chemistry, biology, physics and physical science.
