Seoul Academy International School was founded in 1983 to fulfill the need in the Seoul area for an elementary/middle school that could provide an English language international education in a family-type atmosphere and which could accept all children of all abilities and needs. Seoul Academy is a pre-K through eighth grade school. Throughout the years that Seoul Academy International School has been in operation the following concepts have been stressed to make the school unique: Meeting individual needs, stressing development of Korean and English, computer education, visual and performing arts with visits from local artists and Artists in Residence, hands-on approach to science, and an on-going emphasis on cultural and global awareness.
