S International School is a co-educational school and the only international school in Chiba, Japan. The school provides the best in education and programs for the international-minded community. Originally founded in 2003 as Smiley-kids, the school has developed from a Preschool to supporting up to Grade 3 in April 2008. The school campuses are easily accessible and are located throughout Tokyo and Chiba. SIS in conjunction with Smiley-Kids currently boasts five campuses conveniently located in Nishi-Funabashi, Hiroo, Nishi-Kasai, Yawata and Hirai. SIS strongly believe that every child has the right to obtain the best in education, and open its doors and welcome students from all countries around the world with varied socio-economic backgrounds. As SIS continues to grow, it remains committed to its mission statement to grow internationally minded learners. The staff are dedicated to providing a warm and accepting atmosphere for the different nationalities in the school. The main language of instruction is English with Japanese classes being offered to support the belief of bilingualism.
