Rama International School was founded in 1996 by Indorama Synthetics. It is ideally located midway between Bandung and Jakarta on the fringes of the scenic lake Jatiluhur. The school moved into its present location on February 1, 1997.
RIS offers a broad curriculum preparing the students for the Indian Certificate for Secondary Education examination. Eight batches have passed this examination and with flying colours and much more is expected of the coming batches.
The campus located between the lake, hills and paddy fields have a field because of which the students have excelled in every sport. Facilities such as cricket and soccer fields,libraries,laboratories and much more have greatly improved the students' education.
To prepare the students to compete in this fast-changing world, the school offers various activities such as debates, quizzes, elocution, music, painting. Swimming, cricket, soccer and badminton are also a few ssports played as forms of team competitons. Each student is made compulsory to play in each of the sports and thus develops talents in each of them.
