Ecole Mondiale is an international coeducational day school in Mumbai, India inaugurated in July of 2004 with the mandate of offering IBO's Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. The school accepts enrolles from Nursery to Secondary levels.. The school also is authorized to offer the IGCSE. In the primary years, the school offers French or Hindi as the second language, and adds Yoga and classical Indian dance to requirements of the PYP. In Secondary, Spanish is added to the languages on offer. Graduating students can also earn the school's High School Diploma. The school has a range of modern facilities to augment the highly skilled and professional Indian and expatriate teachers. Every class has its own classroom, and the specialist facilities include a canteen, the Early Years Centre, five science laboratories, three art studios, three computer laboratories, two libraries, two drama / dance studios, audio-visual room, two music rooms with 7 practice rooms, design technology classroom and workshop, basketball court, games room, gymnasium, multi-purpose auditorium, swimming pool, sports ground and astroturf sports courtyard. There is a learning support teacher with an assistant as well as a college counsellor. ESL provision is also offered. At this stage of the school's development, almost all of the students are Indian. Around 95% of senior secondary students state that have chosen to study the IB Diploma Programme as they intend to study in overseas universities rather than in India. School activities range through sporting, artistic and hobby offerings. There are around forty different activities available for students to choose from. CAS plays a major part in the after school life of IB Diploma students. MYP students have a major community and support programme as well.
