
The Korean International School is an international school situated in Lei King Wan, Sai Wan Ho, in Hong Kong. Its a dynamic mix of Western ideas and Asian industry, also its close to Tai Koo Shing, a residential area populated with a large number of Korean families. The school is divided into two sections—Korean and international sections. The international section offers English as the medium of instruction, while the Korean section offers Korean as the medium of instruction. In addition to the first language medium of instruction, students in the international section are also required to take Mandarin Chinese or Korean as their second language course.
KIS is a member of the Cambridge International Primary Programme, its standards are established and recognized. Its a registered Cambridge Centre, the high school programme features IGCSE and AS external exams that are accepted globally by universities, besides being a registered Hong Kong school.
School facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court, renovated gymnasium and two soft-surface playing fields, with activity areas which are some of the best in Hong Kong. Its the new state-of-the art science lab with integrated computer area linked to the internet is Hong Kong's finest. Along with two computer labs accessible by all classes enable the integration of the internet into all subject areas. The international section delivers the British National Curriculum for students from grades 1 to 9. The IGCSE Curriculum is offered for the students in grades 10 and 11, while the AS Curriculum is offered for the students in grade 12.
