Glenealy is an outstanding primary school, educating children in years one to six in the Mid-levels area of Hong Kong. It opened to children on its present site in January 1959. The school was rebuilt in 1988 and now occupies modern, purpose built premises on Hornsey Road. The school provides places for 360 children from within the very popular residential area of Mid Levels. Since 1959, it has established a tradition of excellence built on the outstanding academic, cultural and sporting achievements of its students.
Glenealy is located 10 minutes from the Central business district of Hong Kong island and is easily accessed by taxi and a school bus service. Proximity to the cultural centres of Hong Kong and bustling city life further enrich the school’s link with the community. The school’s bright, modern classrooms and state of the art facilities combine to create a highly desirable educational setting.
Glenealy is staffed by committed, dedicated and among the most qualified teachers in the world. It currently employs 19 qualified teachers, 11 educational assistants and 10 non-teaching support staff. The school has 12 classrooms, an ICT suite, specialist Music, Art/Design Technology and Science rooms and a well-resourced library.
