
Shanghai Community International School - Emerald is an international non-profit school that offers a broad curriculum for preschool to grade 12, serving the expatriate community of Pudong in Shanghai, China. The school's curriculum is based on an American framework, but incorporates many Western country standards, with a mission to provide its students with the opportunities to pursue academic and personal excellence in nurturing, international, community environments. SCIS was founded in 1990 by the International Schools Foundation and the Pudong campus is one of three campus locations that the school operates and is located on the site of the Emerald Housing Development. It caters to students from preschool through Grade 12. The school has a full term of accreditation with the Western Association of Schools and colleges (WACS) and has a dedicated and talented group of educators.
