
Kunming International Academy (KIA) is a private non-profit international school located in Kunming, city capital of Yunnan Province in China. The school was founded in 1994 to serve the international community by providing English education to students in Pre-kindergarten (4 years old) to grade 12 level. Currently, the school has a student body of 200 representing over 20 different nationalisties studying an American-style curriculum accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). It formed a partnership with OASIS International Schools headquartered in Southaven, Mississippi in 2001.
The school's mission is to provide a quality education for the children of the Kunming international community within the framework of a Christian worldview designed to help develop mature and healthy young adults to achieve their full potential as world citizens.
