Suzhou Singapore International School (also, SSIS) is an international school located in historic Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province, China right in the middle of Suzhou Industrial Park. It is an international school offering education from Kindergarten (ages 3 to 6) up to High School. It is an IB World School authorized to offer the programmes of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and caters to both Chinese and non-Chinese students. Curriculums are conducted in English through intensive and ESL withdrawal programs. The school also teaches Mandarin Chinese throughout the school which includes Chinese as a second language. The school was established in 1996 as an integral part of Suzhou Industrial Park's development, and has students from over twenty countries. The school's education system from Kindergarten to Primary is loosely based on the Singaporean education system while secondary school education is based on the International Baccalaureate's Middle Year Programme and IB Diploma Programme.
