Yew Chung International School of Beijing (YCIS-Beijing) has been in operation since the beginning of the 1995-96 academic year. Since its inception, it has experienced rapid growth and development, and today serves more than 500 students from over 30 countries in Early Childhood Education (starting at age 2) to Year 13 (Grade 12). YCIS-Beijing fosters bilingualism through the pairing of a Western and Chinese teacher in every classroom of the Early Childhood Education and Primary sections of the school.
Located in Beijing's scenic Honglingjin Park, YCIS-Beijing is well equipped with two computer laboratories, three science laboratories, an English as an Additional Language (EAL) center, an Intensive English Programme (IEP) center, libraries in the Early Childhood Education, Primary and Secondary sections, a gymnasium, a cafeteria, and outdoor activity and play areas. In addition, other sports facilities located in close proximity to the school are also utilized. These include a sports stadium, two swimming pools and a natural grass field. While maintaining a standard of excellence, YCIS-Beijing promotes creative expression, individual growth, and a spirit of service to the community.
