
Beijing World Youth Academy is a secondary university preparatory international school approved by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission to enroll local and foreign students aged 11 to 19. WYA is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) to offer the Diploma Programme (IBDP), which is recognized as a qualification for university entrance. The school also offers the IB Middle Years Programme (IBMYP) in the junior section. WYA has two campuses in Beijing. The northern campus located at the International Youth Exchange Centre garden, near Lufthansa Centre in the Third Embassy Area, within easy reach of central Beijing and within major transport route. The southern campus is about 10 minutes’ from the other campus. WYA has a total student population of more than 400, most of which are children of embassy staffs and foreign companies representing 40 countries.
The school aims to encourage students to apply what they learn in the classroom to real world issues and problems, and to help their students in developing into enquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people; active and compassionate lifelong learners.
