
The International School Dhaka is a co-educational school founded in 1999 and built to accommodate students from Nursery to Grade Twelve. The school seeks to provide a high-quality English-medium education for both national and expatriate students. It officially opened on 1st September 1999 and has since then expanded to Grade 12. The school's mission centers around providing a rich learning experience promoting academic rigour, international understanding and responsible citizenship. Each student's full potential is developed in a friendly, caring atmosphere which fosters intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth.
The International School Dhaka curriculum utilizes the three programme frameworks of the International Baccalaureate Organisation. Active participation in all aspects of the various school programmes is valued and students are encouraged to become involved in the extensive After-School Programme and in Community Service Projects. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and by the Council of International Schools.
