Galaxy International School was established in September 2001 at Haatso Atomic to provide an excellent and quality day and boarding education to both Ghanaians and foreign nationals residing in Ghana. Over the years, GIS has experienced major growth due to an expansion in school facilities and programmes offered. There are currently more than 400 students from over 30 countries enrolled in the school. GIS serves an expatriate population associated with the various foreign service agencies, United Nations organizations, embassies and international businesses, but there is also a large number of students whose parents are Ghanaian nationals. The school is basically science oriented with state of the art teaching and learning facilities. It is co-educational with excellent Day and Boarding Facilities. All of the school's classrooms are fully air-conditioned with a maximum seating capacity of 20 students each. The school currently has three campus sites, each for the Primary, Elementary and Secondary levels. The school's mission is to prepare the students for leadership roles and provide them with the opportunity to be successful in a rapidly changing global environment while at the same time, instilling good moral values including becoming responsible citizens, productive employees, resourceful employers and effective community members.

To whom it may concern,
I am a BSc Education graduate from Roehampton University, London. I am half ghanaian half english and I am interested in becoming a teacher, I come to Ghana regularly and also reside in East Legon. I would like to know if there are jobs available in your school, enabling me to gain more experience from next September. I have have had lots of experience in primary schools in london and am a very confident and bubbly person.

It would be pleasure to work with you and your school and also give me invaluable experience.

Looking forward to your response

Yours Sincerely

Stephanie

Madiana, you will love living in Ghana. You have nothing to worry about. I lived in the U.S for 19 years and moved back to Ghana in July, 2010. It's October so if your mom's plans went through, then you should be in Ghana now. I hope you are settling in.

The school is not too bad ,but sports and other energizing activities are ignored ,I have seen children gain a lot of weight in just three months . Especially the boarding house kids ,they just make me feel like screaming !!
