New International School in Hanoi Vietnam E-mail
Friday, 12 October 2007
Hanoi, Vietnam is buidling a new primary and secondary international school, called the Ha Noi Academy School.

At a cost slated at over US$9 million and covering 2.6ha, the school is a key joint investment project between IDJ Financial, a major shareholder of IDJ Education (representing 70 per cent of the founding capital) and the American Education Company (AEC).

Construction will be completed within 2 years starting from August 2007 and the school will start enrolling students and recruiting teachers for the first academic year from August 2008.

"Educating high quality human resources that meet the demand of industrialisation and modernisation is a priority for every country as well as a concern for every family. The school is just one key project in the long term investment works of IDJ Financial," said Tran Duc Thanh, Director of the Manager Board of IDJ Financial at yesterday’s ground breaking ceremony.

According to IDJ Education Director Nguyen Van Tuyen, the school will provide a modern and comprehensive curriculum which combines the core syllabus required by the Ministry of Education and Training of Viet Nam and high standard education abroad.

The school is expected to draw about 3,000 pupils from residential areas around Ha Noi. Tuition fees will range from US$4,000-5,000 per pupil each year.
